Ripple, Securitize Enable 24/7 RLUSD Redemption for BlackRock & VanEck Tokenized Funds

BlackRock & VanEck token funds now let investors redeem into RLUSD on-chain 24/7—Ripple’s stablecoin pushes deeper into institutional rails.
Ripple and Securitize have launched a smart-contract integration that allows holders of BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL tokenized money-market products to redeem their shares directly into RLUSD, Ripple’s regulated stablecoin. This establishes a continuous on-chain liquidity path—effectively a “stablecoin off-ramp”—for institutional tokens that traditionally relied on fiat rails and time-constrained redemption windows.
Under the new setup, investors use a smart contract built on Securitize’s platform that swaps their fund tokens for RLUSD at a 1:1 parity, anytime, 24/7. The integration positions RLUSD not simply as a payment token but as a settlement layer for real-world assets (RWA). Because RLUSD is backed 1:1 and issued under a New York DFS trust charter, it’s designed to satisfy both institutional needs and regulatory expectations.
For the tokenization ecosystem, this is a major step forward: it bridges traditional finance and DeFi in a regulated manner. By granting continuous liquidity, RLUSD makes tokenized treasuries more flexible, usable, and composable. Investors can move between yield-bearing fund exposure and stablecoin positions seamlessly, without waiting for bank hours or settlement windows.
This move also enhances Ripple’s institutional playbook: it deepens RLUSD’s footprint among major asset managers and cements its utility beyond just cross-border payments. As more funds adopt this model, we might see RLUSD evolving into a backbone token for tokenized finance—where Treasuries, credit, and other real assets can live, trade, and settle natively on-chain.
