Ripple Prime Gives U.S. Institutions Spot Trading Access to BTC, ETH & SOL

Published

Ripple Prime allows U.S. institutions to trade spot BTC, ETH & SOL via its newly expanded prime brokerage platform.

Ripple Prime clients in the U.S. can now execute spot trades in dozens of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin (BTC), ethereum (ETH), and solana (SOL). The offering emerges from Ripple’s acquisition of prime broker Hidden Road earlier this year, which it rebranded as Ripple Prime.

Institutions using the platform gain access to over-the-counter (OTC) spot execution, as well as Ripple’s own ecosystem tokens like XRP and its stablecoin RLUSD. This move marks a major step in Ripple’s strategy of expanding from payments into full-service prime brokerage infrastructure.

For crypto investors, this is a signal that institutional adoption is broadening beyond just derivatives and custody—it’s now about spot liquidity across major digital assets under one roof.
