Ripple CEO Invited to Testify in Front of Senate Banking Committee

Published

"Constructive US crypto legislation is key to unlocking innovation and financial growth while ensuring strong consumer protection."

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced he’s been invited to testify before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee this Wednesday, July 9, on the importance of passing comprehensive crypto market structure legislation. He expressed gratitude to Committee Chairman Tim Scott, along with Senators Cynthia Lummis and Ruben Gallego, for the opportunity.

Garlinghouse emphasized that constructive legislation is essential to usher in a new era of innovation and financial opportunity while safeguarding consumers.

Crypto regulation has been a growing focus for U.S. lawmakers in 2025, especially under the crypto-friendly stance of the Trump administration. The upcoming hearing will address efforts to define and clarify the regulatory framework surrounding digital assets. Other key figures expected to testify include Summer Mersinger of the Blockchain Association, Jonathan Levin of Chainalysis, and Dan Robinson of Paradigm.
