Ripple Acquires Palisade to Bolster Institutional Crypto Custody and Payments
Published
Ripple acquires wallet & custody firm Palisade to expand its institutional-grade crypto infrastructure for payments and enterprise storage.
Ripple has acquired Palisade, a wallet-and-custody firm specializing in “wallet-as-a-service” infrastructure, adding a crucial piece to its institutional product stack. Palisade’s technology features multi-party computation (MPC), zero-trust architecture, multi-chain support and fast wallet provisioning--ideal for high-frequency payments, real-time on-ramps and corporate treasury flows.
With this move, Ripple will integrate Palisade’s capabilities into its Ripple Custody and Ripple Payments offerings, enabling it to better serve fintechs, corporates and crypto-native firms with streamlined wallet deployment and enterprise-grade storage. The acquisition follows Ripple’s earlier major deals this year, underscoring its push from payments into full-scale infrastructure for digital assets.
For crypto investors, the takeaway is significant: as Ripple builds end-to-end infrastructure—custody, payments, prime brokerage—it moves one step closer to bridging traditional finance and Web3. The acquisition could accelerate broader institutional adoption, deepen the utility of Ripple’s ecosystem tokens and stablecoin, and reaffirm custody as a strategic moat in the digital-asset race.
