Crypto Custodian BitGo Targets $201MM Raise in U.S. IPO

BitGo files for a U.S. IPO to raise $201 M, aiming for a near $2 B valuation as institutional crypto demand grows.
BitGo, one of the largest cryptocurrency custody firms in the United States, has filed to go public with an initial public offering (IPO) that could raise about $201 million for the company. The Palo Alto-based firm plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “BTGO”, offering roughly 11.8 million shares at a price range expected between $15 and $17. This would value the company at approximately $1.85–$1.96 billion in what could be one of the first major crypto infrastructure IPOs of 2026.
Founded in 2013, BitGo provides institutional-grade custody, security, and wallet services for digital assets, helping safeguard cryptocurrencies for exchanges, hedge funds, and other large holders. The company’s decision to go public comes amid broader institutional momentum in the crypto market, with renewed investor interest following regulatory developments and the success of previous listings by other digital-asset firms.
The IPO will be led by major underwriters and is being closely watched by market participants as a bellwether for how traditional capital markets value crypto infrastructure businesses. A successful debut could pave the way for additional crypto companies to pursue public listings, further bridging the gap between digital finance and mainstream investing.
BitGo’s public offering also reflects the growing importance of secure custody services in a landscape where institutions are increasingly allocating capital to digital assets. As demand for regulated, transparent infrastructure grows, BitGo’s move to raise capital on the public markets signals confidence in the long-term institutionalization of crypto finance.
Overall, the BitGo IPO attempt underscores how the digital-asset sector is evolving — from niche technology to core financial infrastructure backed by traditional market mechanisms and investor capital.
