Circle Expands USYC Tokenized Treasury Fund to Solana, Fueling RWA Momentum

Published

Circle brings its $635M USYC treasury fund to Solana, enabling redemptions in USDC and deeper integration in Solana lending/deriv protocols.

Circle has extended its tokenized U.S. Treasury fund USYC onto the Solana blockchain, growing beyond its existing deployments on Ethereum, Base, Near, and Canton. The fund, currently pegged at ~$635 million, caters exclusively to KYC-verified non-U.S. institutional investors and lets holders redeem shares in real time for USDC.

This expansion taps into Solana’s high throughput and low latency to enable use cases like using USYC as yield-bearing collateral in lending markets or as margin in decentralized derivatives. With the tokenized treasury sector ballooning to nearly $8 billion in total size, Circle’s move signals intensifying competition to make real-world assets more native and composable on-chain.

For crypto investors, Solana’s integration opens up fresh arbitrage and capital flow opportunities—especially across chains and lending strategies—with USYC now more accessible across high-performance rails.
