Binance Launches “Junior” Crypto Savings Account for Kids & Teens

Published

Binance rolls out “Binance Junior,” a parent-controlled crypto savings account for kids age 6–17 — teaching early crypto literacy while keeping parents in charge.

Binance is reaching the next generation: the exchange just unveiled Binance Junior, a new savings account and crypto-learning platform designed for children and teens aged 6 to 17. Parents with a verified Binance account can set up to five Junior sub-accounts, giving youngsters a supervised entry into the crypto world.

With Binance Junior, parents retain full control. They manage deposits, approve transfers, and monitor all activity — kids cannot trade, perform on-chain withdrawals, or move funds outside of other Junior accounts or back to the parent account (transfers between Junior accounts are subject to daily limits). In some jurisdictions, funds held in Junior accounts can earn interest via Binance’s savings products.

The aim is as much about education as finance. Binance frames the initiative as a tool to help families teach children about savings, digital assets, and the evolving financial landscape. With digital money likely playing a growing role in the future, early exposure — under parental oversight — could build financial literacy from a young age.

That said, the program carries caveats. Not all countries allow full functionality or the same age thresholds. There’s also no trading access — Junior accounts are strictly for savings and transfers within the family.

In launching Binance Junior, Binance is betting on the next generation of investors — offering a regulated, controlled, low-friction way to introduce children to crypto. Whether it becomes a gateway for lifelong crypto users or simply a learning tool depends on how parents and kids use it — but as a step toward demystifying digital finance for younger generations, it’s hard to ignore.
