Api3 Adds Hypernative Monitoring Layer to Protect OEV Vaults and Oracle Infrastructure

Real-time vault surveillance comes to Api3 as the protocol expands protection around oracle feeds and DeFi yield infrastructure.
Api3 has announced a new partnership with Hypernative aimed at strengthening the security of its Morpho vault ecosystem and oracle infrastructure through real-time monitoring and threat detection. The move adds an additional layer of defense over Api3’s first-party oracle stack, with Hypernative acting as a specialized “second set of eyes” watching for malicious activity across vaults and data feeds.
The integration specifically targets Api3’s Morpho vaults, which are designed to capture Oracle Extractable Value (OEV) and route it back to vault yield rather than allowing that value to leak to traditional MEV bots. Api3 says this model creates additional value for users, but also increases the importance of layered security protections around the vault architecture and oracle feeds powering them.
According to the announcement, Hypernative’s system plugs into Api3’s 24/7 monitoring stack to provide proactive, real-time threat detection over the capital secured in the vaults. The monitoring layer extends beyond the vault contracts themselves and also covers the Api3 data feeds that DeFi protocols rely on for pricing data. Because Api3 operates a first-party oracle model where API providers run their own nodes on-chain, the company framed the additional monitoring as another independent line of defense protecting the staking and oracle ecosystem.
Api3 also emphasized that the monitoring system is already live, describing the “watchguards” as active across its vault products. The rollout currently includes several Morpho vault deployments, including Api3 dCOMP USDC, Api3 Core USDC, and Kabu USDC vaults.
The partnership reflects a broader trend across DeFi toward layered security architecture as protocols managing larger pools of capital increasingly adopt real-time monitoring, automated threat analysis, and infrastructure-level protections in addition to smart contract audits. For oracle providers specifically, security remains critical given the role price feeds play in collateral management, lending markets, and liquidation systems across DeFi.
